WELCOME

Established in 1999, the Department of Physics began its educational activities by admitting its first students in the 20082009 academic year and has graduated 48 students to date. Furthermore, the department launched graduate programsspecifically a Master’s program with a thesis in 2010 and a PhD program in 2016which are currently ongoing. The department’s academic staff currently consists of 10 Professors, 1 Associate Professor, and 1 Assistant Professor.brThe aim of the Physics Department is to teach students the fundamental concepts of physics, demonstrate how various concepts and theories are derived from experimental work, and equip them with research skills. In addition to covering fundamental physics concepts, the curriculum is supported by training in applied electronics and computing. During the first two years of the four-year undergraduate physics program, students take courses such as the fundamental laws, concepts, and principles of physics and mathematics mechanics and electricity modern and general chemistry general mathematics and mathematical methods in physics. In the third and fourth years, courses such as quantum physics, atomic and molecular physics, statistical physics, nuclear physics, solid-state physics, and computer programming are offered.
